Western PA Wounded Heroes Fund Golf Classic
Allegheny Country Club

The Mario Lemieux Foundation partnered with the Western PA Wounded Heroes Fund to hold the second annual Western PA Wounded Heroes Fund Golf Classic presented by UPMC Health Plan at Allegheny Country Club.

The event was hosted by the Western PA Wounded Heroes Fund; a group of passionate veterans committed to giving back to our nation’s heroes, and committed to raising awareness and monies for veterans, wounded service members, their children and caregivers, and also provide resources for active duty warriors. Proceeds from the event benefited the Lemieux Foundation's Austin’s Military Playrooms and the It's About The Warrior Foundation.

Proceeds from the 2018 Event Benefited:

Austin’s Military Playrooms

An initiative of the Mario Lemieux Foundation, Austin’s Military Playrooms are cheerful playrooms for children and families of our veterans and active duty warriors. The playrooms provide a safe, calming and comfortable environment within military medical facilities for our special military families. Austin’s Playrooms allow families the ability to escape the burden of difficult or often extended medical situations and focus on health and healing. Austin’s Military Playrooms are currently operating in three locations: Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton and Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune.
