Mario Lemieux Foundation Releases New Website and Logo Package

PITTSBURGH — October 18, 2012 — The Mario Lemieux Foundation announced today the launch of the new mlf.docker.localhost website. The website features a new Lemieux Foundation logo package which showcases a modernization of the Foundation’s trademark shield, as well as a new look for Austin’s Playroom Project, an initiative of the Foundation that creates playrooms for children and families in medical facilities.  The website also includes an online store featuring new Foundation apparel.

To purchase the new Lemieux Foundation apparel, please visit the shop section of mlf.docker.localhost.  Apparel options include a new t-shirt, full-zip sweatshirt, polo and hat.  All proceeds benefit the Mario Lemieux Foundation.

The Foundation’s newest project is the Mario Lemieux Center for Blood Cancers scheduled to open in December 2012 at the Hillman Cancer Center at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute.  The center, established through a $3 million gift from the Mario Lemieux Foundation, will serve an estimated 25,000 patients a year and offer comprehensive diagnostic services, individually designed treatment plans and long-term follow-up services to patients with leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, non-Hodgkin’s disease, multiple myeloma and other blood malignancies.
