
The 2013 Mario Lemieux Fantasy Hockey Camp was held January 5-9, in Pittsburgh, PA to benefit the cancer research projects of the Mario Lemieux Foundation. The camp consisted of 60 participants who had the experience of a lifetime! Click here for 2014 Pre-Registration.
Campers enjoyed five days of hockey, entertainment and personal interaction with 15 of the biggest names in hockey history including Mario Lemieux, Paul Coffey, Mark Recchi, Bill Guerin, Gary Roberts, Bryan Trottier, Theo Fleury, Rick Tocchet, Michel Goulet, Clark Gillies, Pierre Larouche, Randy Hillier, Eddie Johnston, Jay Caufield and Tie Domi.
This year’s team captains had a combined 35 Stanley Cups, 57 All-Star Game appearances and over 5,300 goals and 13,000 points scored in the NHL. Campers were drafted into four teams, each featuring two celebrity team captains and a head coach. Mario Lemieux rotated from team to team during the round-robin tournament play.
Special guest Paul Coffey led practice sessions for each team on the first day of camp, and participated in the first session of games.

Camp ended with a championship matchup between Team Gillies and Team Trottier. Team Trottier decisively took the game and were awarded the Lemieux Cup and the 2013 Mario Lemieux Fantasy Hockey Camp Championship!
Nearly $500,000 has been raised through the Mario Lemieux Fantasy Hockey Camp to benefit the Mario Lemieux Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to raising funds for cancer research and patient care, as well as Austin’s Playroom Project, which creates playrooms for children and families in medical facilities.
